tomorrow is nest box day for Misty.  In preperation for this I had to build a nest box.  So first I ordered a nice wooden one thought, naively, that it would be ready to go.  Wrong, I had to nail it together and I am not good with a hammer.  This project included bruising.  It is heavy and to big it will make an interesting planter.  So a few weeks ago I ordered a wire nest box from Bass equipment with cardboard inserts making cleaning easy.  I open the box and again I have to put it together they provided the J-Clip thingy's but I do not have J-Clip wires.  OK so I went to Western Ranchman this morning and they did.  So after about 30 minutes of trying to figure out how to use them I was able to put it together .  I  will be uploading pictures.  Hope she likes it.  Hope she has kits.  Hope Henri's mark was true las month.  Guess I'll know in a few days

I am not feeling anything but she does not give me much of a chance to palpate.  she is still a little iffy since the medication episode.

I have tried to palpate her several times but she is still holding a little bit of a grudge from the medication rodeo.

Today is day 30 still no fur pulling or kits.  this is not looking promising.  But she continues to renovate her nest box so hope is not yet dead

So I place the nest box in last night.  I have heard her scratching around and she is being a good girl and not

using it as a litter box.  She has not yet started to pull fur but is a bit subdued this evening.  So now is the waiting game.   She has lots of fresh soft grass hay to build with and I put some aspen shavings in the bottom of the nest.

my thoughts as well so I purchased a case of 12.  That will get me through a few litters and with only two breedable does at this time they will last a little while.
