But summer is right around the corner and our beautiful supply of fresh lettuces, spinach and other tasty winter greens will soon be replaced by squash, corn, okra and the other summer gardening favorites. But does that mean we have to give up on the idea of salads and other cooked greens from the garden? NO!! Well, at least not entirely... we can't grow lettuce during the summer…

We're holding an organizational retreat on Saturday, Sep. 17 with the goal of creating a county-wide coalition/network/association of community gardens (CGs).
Greater Phoenix is one of the few large urban areas in the country without an existing network of CGs to provide support for CGs, increase skills, share resources, and advocate for CG-friendly policies in area municipalities. If you or someone you know may be interested in making biodiesel and/or buying a processor let me know. I spent a year perfecting this system and making upgrades. I have seen many ‘backyard’ biodiesel processors and I am confident the one I built is one of highest quality processors out there. I am making high quality biodiesel and can teach people who are interested. I'm moving soon so I will have a processor for sale and can also pass on my oil account to a lucky person.
