A friend spent a couple hours filming and interviewing me about my garden for a school project at NAU. This is the final video she put together from the footage.
I have an infestation of what I think are Leaf-Hoppers in my grapes. They are so numerous that you can actually hear them jumping from leaf to leaf. They are very small and I really haven't been able to see them, just hear end see flying insects. I've tried Spectracide 50% Malathion mixture, the directions said use twice a year. The insects disappeared for all of two days, they're back.
There is a new cooperative garden starting up on 19th Avenue and Maryland in Phoenix. The site is located in a parking lot for an apartment complex that is being used for low-income earners. Growing Rogue is a local company that is dedicated to operating cooperative gardens around the Phoenix valley and are working hard to produce high quality, nutrient-rich food and making it readily available to people of all income levels.
