chicken diet


This is my first attempt to blog, so please forgive me if I make any mistakes. I'm originally a city kid who has never had farm animals, but I've wanted a few chickens for years. I'm aftraid I'd hurt them by not knowing how to raise them, but I'm working on it - very, very slowly.

North Scottsdale Market on Shea Blvd.

Had a great Saturday exploring the North Scottsdale Market on Shea Blvd. Everyone needs to have a walk through, especially having a visit to Lylah and Michael's "The Simple Farm". Birdhouse Gourds BORING - HA not anymore

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm good

So I cooked the first of the rabbits we processed last week. Fried it like chicken. What went wrong is I have never fried chicken and I cooked it too long resulting in rubber rabbit so I popped it into the crockpot for three hours and it was divine truly' truly divine by dinner time. I now know better for next time. I served with glazed carrots and potatoes (grandpas favorites) and for desert we had watermelon fresh from the garden.
