Raise your hand if you’ve ever had a pallet of crates delivered to your front door. I sincerely hope I am the only one with my hand in the air, tentatively admitting that this indeed happened to me. We are looking for sources of fat preferably fat from around the kidneys of just about any animal other than chickens and domestic hogs. As primitive skill soap makers we have experimented with almost all vegetable oils and, in order to be authentic we need a source of a lot of beef tallow. And just about any animal that pops up. We prefer to buy local and render it ourselves.
Moved into a house that has a couple Texas sage that are leggy and scrawny. When is the best time to prune these so they'll begin to bush out and can grow more naturally full.
