Inundated with bamboo stalks

I've recently trimmed several large stands of bamboo.  As a result I now a glut of bamboo "poles" that could be put to good use.  I'm looking for some suggestions as to how they can be reused--whether it be functional or artistic.  There's definately enough to make a decent fence or shade.  Anything else?

Hi Folks,

I live in central Phoenix in a rental. Our landlord has decided to sell our house. He will let us stay in the house until it short sales however I don't want to put myself and family through the stress of having the house look perfect especially when we are a family of nine (3 kiddos under the age of 7, two parents, an old sleep all day long dog, and four friendly hens). Plus our lease is up at the end of February and if we find a place that is welcoming to our lifestyle we…

It all starts in the begining

well i have been raising earth worms for a few years. i got my original stock from a friend moving back east, they were four small coolers with slotted holes. another donation was received around thanksgiving from Greg at the Urban Farm. that nearly doubled our worms' potential.

We compost 100% and started taking in friends' organic produce left overs for compost. the bins are 8 and growing strong. we've sold bags of castings, but the population isn't up enough to sell the worms…
