I have 8 new kits

Yeah she was pregnant after all.  I was greeted this morning with 8 wiggling kits She must have pulled fur just before the event.  She seems to be a good mom  and was very ok with me checking out and trying to count the little wigglers. I just gave them a cursory look over this morning to make sure there were no casualties.

Once Upon a Time in Knoxville

Tonight,  The Pilot Light premiered the movie Once Upon a Time in Knoxville; a movie about Rollo’s Ridge in South Knoxville produced by Fugue State Films.   Rollo is a local icon.  Fifteen years ago, many thought he was insane.  Now, he is a visionary.

The Seed Site

I have been looking for ways to manage my seeds so I am less reliant on the hybrid type of seeds.  I have been looking around for places to buy this type of seed so I can grow, eat the vegetables, then harvest the seeds to produce next year's crop.  Maybe it'll help keep me out of trouble.

nest box time

tomorrow is nest box day for Misty.  In preperation for this I had to build a nest box.  So first I ordered a nice wooden one thought, naively, that it would be ready to go.  Wrong, I had to nail it together and I am not good with a hammer.  This project included bruising.  It is heavy and to big it will make an interesting planter.  So a few weeks ago I ordered a wire nest box from Bass equipment with cardboard inserts making cleaning easy.  I open the box and again I have to put it together… Continue
