Profile Information

About Me:
I am a recently returned Combat Veteran, just last year leaving the military, getting married, buying my first house and expecting my first child. I love gardening, farming, creating things with my own hands even when it's tough or painstaking. I would like to eventually move away from the city and start a homestead, feeding my family with the produces I have lovingly learned to create. I am currently doing walled off Deep-bed-Method plots in my small backyard, trying to grow everything that shouldn't be grown here in AZ, and plenty that is natural here. I Also doing Hydroponics and Aquaponics on a hobby level in my garage. Last but not least a recent and passionate discovery, I only use Heirloom seeds instead of Hybrid, not only because of the taste difference, but because I personally think we are slowly breeding the natural defenses out of our crops by going with hybrid types... plus like I said, they taste WAY better. I never knew there was a difference a few months ago, but after weeks of research I plan on doing my own seed saving of some very fantastic and rare heirloom varieties. Hopefully Phoenix weather will cooperate with me.
