"Thanks David, I did see your website and find it very unfortunate that it has been so difficult to acquire true organic stock. I would love to buy some plants from you as soon as you are able to grow them! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!"

Does anyone self Organic dwarf citrus trees?

Hey everyone,Just wondering if there is anyone in the valley that would self organic dwarf citrus trees.  I am looking specifically for blood oranges (as I haven't seen them for sale in stores since I've been here) but it might be nice to have some other varieties as well.  I think they would do farely well on my porch.  If not, where have you guys been going to get your conventional dwarf citrus trees?  TIA,TimSee More

"Tim, I am working on getting organic strawberry plants but have been having a hard time getting a grower that has certified organic. Essentially, all growers are using soil treated with Methyl Bromide so they can not sell as organic. I found one…"

"Welcome Tim! I know Bakers has strawberries - I was just there on friday; they are on 40th st at osborn. It seems to me that it may not matter what you try putting strawberries or blueberries in on a patio; they will frustrate you!! Neither of these…"

"My husband did some research on blueberry varieties that might do well here, the three we ended up with are Misty, Sharp Blue and Sunshine Blue. They're really struggling right now, especially after the recent hailstorms."

"Hi Tim, welcome to the Phoenix Permaculture Guild! I'm quite sure there are some folks who can weigh in on earth boxes and definitely on irrigation. I hope you had the chance to go to Boyce Thompson Arboretum; it's a lovely place and well…"

Where can I find organic blueberry and strawberry plants in the valley?

Hi everyone,I am new to this site.  I have been looking at growing organic strawberry and blueberry bushes on my patio.  I am wondering if anyone in the valley is selling these this time of year.  I have only been living here (in Glendale) for about a year so I am not even sure who is all out there.  I have tried calling a few places without luck.  I am also wondering if you have any recommendations for varieties that will do well here in the desert.  I think I will have to set up some sort of…See More

Hi Tim, no problem. Hopefully you can find something at Baker's - they are an excellent nursery and it's fun to even go there. Wish they were closer to where I live, lol. Good luck with school and with your garden!
