So What is Hallowe'en for you....?
Did you know it is the Eve of Hallows - the ending and beginning of the Celtic Calendar [sometimes called Samhain]. That All Hallows is Nov 1st - A day to honour your ancestors.
That the Latino's celebrate Dia De Los Muertos [Day of the Dead], the Christians - All Saint's Day [ then All Soul's Day, Nov 2nd].....

Samhain is the Winter harvest day - the Herd of cattle would be culled and preserved for the long cold winter months [because they would not have feed for them], crops cut, threshed and stored, wood cut, split and stacked. And then the Celebration would begin with its mythology....fires burned on the hill tops all night to ward off evil spirits that roamed free on Hallowe'en. Food offerings set on the house threshold overnight.....while the party continued in the village keep.

So the Churches and Latino's have kept some Respect for the Holy Day for the Ancestors, but Hollywood and the media has Bastardised it

Interesting!!!

So Will You Honour the Truth of All Hallows and not the Hollywood version?
