About Me:
I recently graduated from ASU in Wildlife Biology and Restoration. I now find myself working in sustainability at this same University. It's an exciting time and an exciting field to be in. There are times when I lament the fact that I am not in the field somewhere studying endangered species, but I feel this is the right place for me to be in at this time.

GROUND BREAKING!

This is an extremely important day for Poly Gardens out at the ASU Polytechnic campus. =) We broke ground! (If you don't count the removal of the swing set first which happened awhile ago.) This lot transformation has been in the works for a year and we finally commenced the initial leveling. Next comes blue staking, then my guys will trench and install all the major irrigation plumbing necessary for this community garden to be a success! We will host eight 20' x 25' plots for staff, students… Continue

Good to see you Friday and make a switch. The group of boys in Queen Creek is Canyon State Academy, 20061 E. Rittenhouse Rd., QC. Phone (480) 987-9700. Don't know if they could chaperone some boys to the community garden for "community service." Another option might be the Juvenile Probation work/service program that takes a van of kids some afternoons. I know one stint is shoveling out a horse barn (probably Sheriff or Police or something). This might be a stretch, but you guys might be a good community service connection for them. I have a number for Probation at (602) 506-2504, but they would have to point you to the person in charge of the juvenile work/service program. I can't remember the title of it. Good luck. Let me know if something develops.

Jennifer:
I have both coffee grounds (some tea leaves) from local coffee houses, and about 6 bags of pecan leaves, to help build up compost. Not construction materials, but I come to Mesa about once a week, to the 60 and Mesa Drive, and if you are near there I could deliver some for you. Interested?
