Hi Carrie, I am very happy for you she is doing better.  The enthusiasm probably needs to be keep in check though the little darling :-)  It is indeed beautiful out.  Glad you got some help from Dr. Stolz.

Hi Carrie,

Just checking - how is your doeling doing?  Better I hope.

Hi Carrie,

I'm glad you had her checked.  The circulation issue is part of what I was mentioning.  I would suggest you contact Dr. Stolz and see if she has any additional recommendations.  If your doeling were human I would suggest massage and warm compresses above and below the break/cast, but I'm not sure how to "apply" those to your doeling.  I hope all proceeds well for you.

Hi Carrie,

Wow, on your doeling breaking her leg.  I'm not sure where to begin, as I have not had to deal with that issue.  The first thing is: is the bone protruding?  If so how have you treated the wound/break at this point?  The real problem with hooved animals is it is harder to keep them quiet with a leg injury like you do with a cat or dog.

Generally with a break you have to brace it below and above the break to put weightbaring activity on the area below the break if it is not bad.  The real problem is that may not be an option.  I suggest you consult with a vet.

Here is the site for the Only holistic Vet I'm aware of - there may be more.  I believe she does telephone consultations for a fee (you give your credit card) - I understand she is very compassionate.

Good luck with your doeling.
