Scholarships for Water Harvesting Certification in Phoenix: Apply by Dec 30

The most comprehensive water harvesting training in the nation is being offered in Phoenix February 24 – March 4, 2012, and scholarships are now available for a variety of professionals.  The certification, led by Watershed Management Group (WMG), includes ten days of hands-on training in the design and implementation of passive rainwater earthworks, greywater systems, and roof-top rainwater catchment cisterns.  This training is only held once a year in Phoenix, and to ensure high quality instruction, the course is limited to 15 participants, so apply now to ensure a spot!

To ensure the certification is reaching professionals who will apply these practices in their work, WMG is offering a variety of targeted scholarships based on financial need to the following professionals:
•    Water/Stormwater Resource Managers
•    Landscape Architects
•    Engineers
•    General Contractors and Homebuilders
•    Environmental Educators
•    Plumbers

Individuals from the above professions are eligible for a $250 scholarship; individuals whose employer will pay for the training are eligible for a $300 scholarship; and if employers would like to send two or more staff, they are eligible for $350 scholarships.

Applications are processed on a first-come-first-serve basis until December 30th or when the course is full; the regular registration fee is $1200.  Visit for more details and to apply.

WMG leads five Certifications per year, in Arizona and Southern California and just recently led their first Certification entirely in Spanish.  Instructors include world-renowned expert Brad Lancaster, along with a team of professionals with a combined 25 years of applied experience and over 100 workshops led in water harvesting.
